Diversity in Romance

2018 Calling…

Catching London features an interracial couple, which naturally had me thinking about diversity in romance books. It’s certainly a genre that doesn’t have a great track record in this area. I grew up clandestinely reading romance books by the dozen. However, I have no recollection of any diversity in the characters I came across.

I recently caught up with the team at whimn.com.au to talk about diversity in the media in general, and in contemporary romance writing in particular. Find out exactly what I had to say by checking out the article here.

Enjoy.
